BAGDOGRA Airport/ NJP Station to PHUENTSHOLING(170 KM 4 hrs drive)

Meet and Greet on arrival at IXB Airport / NJP Train Station and transfer to Phuentsholing.
It is a thriving commercial centre on the northern edge of the Indian-Bhutan Plains.
On arrival check in at the hotel.

PHUENTSHOLING- THIMPHU(176 KM 6 hrs drive Altitude of Thimphu: 2248mts)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for the immigration formalities at Phuentsholing.

Complete the required immigration and entry permit formalities before proceeding further into Bhutan. Our representative will assist the guests with the necessary formalities, subject to applicable rules and documentation requirements.

After completing the immigration formalities, proceed towards Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Enjoy the scenic drive through the beautiful Bhutanese mountains and valleys.

Upon arrival in Thimphu, proceed for sightseeing and visit Tashichho Dzong, an impressive fortress-monastery and one of Bhutan’s most important landmarks. The Dzong is known for its traditional Bhutanese architecture and beautiful surroundings.
Later, proceed to the hotel and complete the check-in formalities.

The evening is free for leisure. Guests can explore the local market or nearby surroundings at their own pace.

Day Trip to Punakha / Wangdue - via Dochula Pass

After breakfast day excursion to Punakha/Wangdue (One-way Approx 70 kms / 2hrs) Enroot visit Simtokha Dzong proceed to Wangduephodrang, with a stop en-route for tea at Dochu La Pass (3,100 meters), where on a clear day you can get spectacular views of the Himalayas.

In Wangdue Have your lunch and in afternoon drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan, and visit Punakha Dzong (Optional and entry fees on direct payment basis) , which is noteworthy both for being one of the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan and also for having been built by the first Shabdrung in 1637. Also visit the Punakha Suspension bridge - The second longest suspension bridge in Bhutan , its perche cover the Mo “ chhu and Po Chhu river and is about 160-180meters in length “its one of the oldest bridge in the world that connects Punkaha Dzong to the rest of the valley -
Evening back to Thimphu -
Back to Thimphu - Overnight at Thimphu.
Dochu La
Dochu La (30 KM, 1 hour driving time) - A mountain pass, offers a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of Eastern Himalayan mountain ranges comes on the way to Punakha. The view is especially scenic on clear, winter days with snowcapped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 Chortens gracing the mountain pass. Halt here for some time and then proceed to Punakha
Punakha Dzong
The Punakha Dzong holds an important relic over which many wars were fought with the Tibetans. ----The Dzong holds a sacred place in the hearts of all Bhutanese.

THIMPHU CITY TOUR AND & DRIVE TO PARO

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for Thimphu Local Sightseeing, covering:

Later, drive to Paro through the scenic mountain roads. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax.

DAY EXCURSION TO CHELA-LA PASS

Tiger Nest also known as Taktsang Monastery a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This sacred temple is perched on the edge of a cliff and is considered one of the most iconic landmarks in Bhutan.
It is one of thirteen Tiger's Nest caves in historical Tibet in which Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) practiced and taught Vajrayana.
The main temple houses a sacred statue of Padmasambhava, the founder of Tibetan Buddhism.
It will be 4-5 hours trekking to reach the Monastery & Back.

Visit the National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong), which houses an impressive collection of Bhutanese art, artifacts, and cultural treasures, subject to opening hours.
Proceed to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan, known for its beautiful traditional architecture and spiritual significance.

Later, drive towards Phuentsholing, the gateway town of Bhutan located near the India–Bhutan border.
Upon arrival at Phuentsholing, check in at the hotel and relax.

Ta Dzong
National Museum of Bhutan is a cultural museum in the town of Paro in western Bhutan. Established in 1968, in the renovated ancient Ta-dzong building, above Rinpung Dzong under the command of His Majesty,---- the King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the third hereditary Monarch of Bhutan.
Kyichu Lakhang
The lhakhang was built to subdue a demoness (Sin Mo) and all of the 108 temples were said to have been built on the same day to subjugate her and ensure the propagation of Buddhism. ---It is located north of Paro about five minute's drive from town.

Useful Tips before Booking



  • For hill station tour do carry light warm cloth during Summer & heavy warm cloths during Winter

  • Carry pair of Thermal wear for Chelela Pass trip.

  • Bhutan is a tobacco free zone, so no smoking in and around town.

  • Whenever you visit Dzong you are asked to wear full sleeve clothes, no caps and photography allowed. Guide will inform you in advance.

  • The country is a litter free zone so we request our guest not to throw anything outside the window or inside the bus.

  • Carry INR 100 & 200 Rupee denomination in Bhutan. Rupee denomination note of INR 500 are not accepted in Bhutan.

  • All SIM Cards will work in Bhutan if you get your International Roaming activated (Differs from service provider to service provider). It will not work without International Roaming.

  • They have strict traffic rules and at some places vehicle cannot go; guest are requested to co-operate with it.
